Loei Thailand

Loei Rajabhat University (LRU), formerly called Loei Teacher’s College, is a Public University under the jurisdiction of the Office of the Commission on Higher Education, Ministry of Education. It was established on September, 1973. In 1976, Loei Teacher’s College firstly offered a course of Educational Certificate. Later on, it offered a Higher Course on Educational Certificate, and eventually Bachelor’s Degree in Education.
In 1985, the campus began to provide various courses or degrees other than Education.
In 1995, His Majesty King Bhumibhol Adulyadej graciously bestowed the name Rajabhat Institute to all Teachers’ Colleges nationwide. This action made Rajabhat Institute Loei to be officially announced on the 25th January 1995. According to The Rajabhat Act 1995, Rajabhat Institute Loei became an institution responsible for educational management and development under the philosophy “The Institute for Local Development”. Rajabhat Institute Loei has put full effort into providing educational opportunities with a focus on the development of the locality, academic services, technology, the arts and cultural conversation.
In 2004, due to the Royal Endorsement of the Rajabhat University Bill on 10 June 2004 and the issue of the Royal Decree on 14 June 2004, Loei Rajabhat University was effective on 15 June 2004.

The courses involve Thai Case Studies in terms of Thai langauge for comunication whilst cultural aspects are mainly practical regarding Thai cooking, Thai art, Thai massage, Muay Thai (Thai kick boxing), Thai music, hiking, community development (Homestay in rural areas to experience local Thai lives) together with cultural trips both inside and outside Loei Province to temples, historical sites, and the Mekong River study.
