◆Program Information


"Summer / Winter Industrial Design Workshop"

Purpose for Summer workshop:
The interest of this workshop is to research about various home appliances, imaging equipment, beauty and health care products. The task is to create an interesting product and service by applying design research methods and techniques.

Purpose for Winter workshop:
The task is to create new product and service design solutions through combining teamwork and experiences of participants from different countries and faculties.

Observation of products, services and market situation

Every participant must be enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student in an institution of higher education that has concluded an inter university agreement with Chiba University or has a possibility of concluding an agreement in the near future.

University Credits: Each course generally consists of 30 academic hours of classes and 2 credit will be awarded.

JPY 120,000- (2 credits / 30 hours of classes) per person.
The fees include tuition, admission, field studies, school supplies and educational materials.

Off Campus: It depends on the accommodation type, season or location. Around 4,000JPY to 10,000JPY per night

Participants are required to purchase appropriate overseas travel insurance during their stay in Japan.
