The USSH is an affiliate member of Vietnam National University – Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM).
The USSH currently has 28 Faculties/Departments, with more than 970 staff members and faculty members including many professors, associate professors, doctors and masters. With regard to the University’s scope of training, there are about 26,000 undergraduate and graduate students who are studying at USSH including over 11,500 regular full time students and more than 4,000 graduates and postgraduate students. The remaining are part-time undergraduate students from in-service and second Bachelor degree programs. USSH has established cooperation with more than 150 universities, research institutes, NGOs, etc. all over the world. Every year, thousands of lecturers, researchers and students come to USSH to give lectures, do research, or study. In the process of integration, USSH is interested in developing cooperation with more national and international universities, research institutes and organizations.

In majority, the subjects provided at our university are taught in Vietnamese except for the Faculty of English Linguistics and Literature and some subjects of the Faculty of International Relations.
- Exchange students majoring in Vietnamese Studies can make their studies in Vietnamese at the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies.

Proficiency of either Vietnamese or English is recommended as USSH courses are offerd in Vietnamese or English.

TOEFL IBT: at least 85 scores: Exchange students study at the Faculty of English Linguistics and Literature or at the Faculty of International Relations.

Dormitory at our campus for international students is not available. However, renting apartments or rooms with reasonable prices may be recommended to exchange students by USSS upon request.

·Medical Insurance
Exchange students must obtain travel medical and personal insurance in their home country and their insurance policy should cover accidents and illnesses.
·Visa Process
The I.C.D will be responsible for visa application for exchange students. When obtaining their visa codes, we will send them to the home university so that exchange students will bring their visa codes to the Vietnamese Embassy or the Consulate General of Vietnam in your country to receive their visas.
