The Autonomous University of the State of Hidalgo is the oldest teaching institution of this state. The campus was born with the state; in its different stages of development the corresponding epochs of Hidalgo’s history are reflected. Our main goal through this years has been teaching upper secondary education, medium and superior professional; conduct research; create and disseminate culture, sports, science and technology; linking substantive functions within and with the social and productive environment, through accredited educational programs associated with research projects that promote regional, national and international development; where the integral formation, the enterprising spirit and the commitment of the student with the society are the priority.

UAEH is part of the World Ranking “Times Higher Education (THE -1001 +)”; it also holds the fourth place of the “Top Universities in Mexico” (THE). Likewise, it takes part in the “British Rating QS Stars” maintaining three stars out of a maximum of five, of which the “teaching, inclusiveness, arts and culture” categories stand out with five stars.

It also counts with SIELE (Servicio Internacional de Evaluación de la Lengua Española) which certifies the degree of mastery of Spanish through electronic media aimed at students and professionals from the five continents.
