Osaka Institute of Technology (OIT) was founded in 1922, with the mission to develop specialists with science-based practical skills who play an important role for the world, for the people and for the community.

OIT have four faculties and three campuses:

1. Faculty of Engineering (Omiya Campus)
2. Faculty of Intellectual Property (Omiya Campus)
3. Faculty of Robotics & Design (Umeda Campus)
4. Faculty of Information Science and Technology (Hirakata Campus)
OIT also has their graduate schools which conduct master and doctoral courses.
