The Sonora Institute of Technology (ITSON) is an institution committed with social development; it has more than 18,000 students and experts that offer education services, research and development focused in the improvement of the well-being, self-sufficiency, health, and survival of the communities where it has presence.
ITSON was established in 1955 as a project of the community that was looking for the offering of new educational opportunities. The initial effort for establishing ITSON was headed by The Lions Club International, Ciudad Obregon Chapter.

Bachelor´s Degree in Tourism Administration. Offers 4 courses in English. All the other courses are taught in Spanish. In order to study these courses the student must have an intermediate-advanced level of Spanish.

Full scholarship in reciprocity which includes exemption of academic costs, feeding through the University campuses from Monday to Friday during the duration of the semester and accomodation in the ITSON student residences.

·Medical Insurance
It is Mandatory for all international students and must deliver a copy before arrival to the corresponding coordinator at the international affairs office.
·Visa Process
Student must consider applying for a visa if they are willing to stay over 180 days, for some countries visa is mandatory to enter Mexico and acceptance Documents will be provided to the student to apply for Visa. For all visa procedures students must attend Mexican Consulate Requirements.
