◆Program Information
A course on "ASEAN Studies" revisits the pillars of the ASEAN integration and promotes a global understanding of the ASEAN as a regional community. Amidst global challenges and multifaced conflicts in the region, the ASEAN, or the Association of Southeast Asian Nations facilitates economic integration and intergovernmental cooperation. The course provides an overview of the history, institutional framework, and crucial agreements of the ASEAN member states. It highlights the contemporary issues confronting the region, and the role of the Philippines in assuming its chairmanship in 2017. The course will be divided into three parts: issues on maritime security, regional economy, and intercultural cooperation. The course includes a fieldtrip to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) and selected Embassies of the ASEAN member states. The course will be offered by the International Studies Department of the College of Liberal Arts, De La Salle University.

De La Salle University, through the Office of the VP for External Relations and Internationalization will handle the processing of the student's Special Study Permit (SSP) upon arrival in the Philippines. DLSU will cover the SSP fee of the Program C participants.

Airport pick up and transfer is provided by DLSU for free as well as Campus tour, orientation, welcoming activity and International Buddy partners will be available for on campus activities.
