Srinakharinwirot University (SWU), founded in 1949, is Thailand’s oldest teacher training institution. In 1974 and by Royal Decree of His Majesty the King Bhumibol Adulyadej, then College of Education was named Srinakharinwirot University and today boasts two campuses: Prasarnmit on Asoke Montri Road in Bangkok and Ongkharak District in NakornNayok province. SWU maintains 15 faculties, 3 colleges, 1 graduate school, 2 research institutes, 7 centers and 4 demonstration schools.
The older social science faculties are at Prasarnmit campus. The newer health science faculties, plus the Faculty of Engineering, are in rural Ongkharak. In particular, the Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Medical Center, which provides medical students with all modern means for research and training. It also provides medical care for students, staff and the general public.
Throughout its history of rapid growth and technological development, the University has remained a strong reputation in the field of Education and a commitment to academic excellence.

·Visa Process
In preparation for participation in our University, it will be necessary for students to acquire a Thai visa to cover the time they expect to be in Thailand. This is of primary importance as Srinakharinwirot University is unable to assist in the process of obtaining the visa required while residing in Thailand. However Srinakharinwirot University will provide a letter of admission of presentation to immigration authorities.
